In 2002, Shreya contested in Sa Re Ga Ma and came out the winner, and then in 2007, she served as a judge on television singing competition STAR Voice of India. The other awards she won are the 50th National Film Award for Best Female Playback Singer for Bairi Piya, the International Indian Film Academy Award for Best Female Playback, Zee Cine Award for Best Playback Singer – Female, and the Stardust Award for New Musical Sensation – Female for the song Dola Re Dola. Shreya began her Bollywood playback singing career in 2002 with Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Devdas, for which she won the 48th Filmfare Award for Best Female Playback and the Filmfare RD Burman Award for New Music Talent. She is also an award-winning artist with four National Film Awards, seven Filmfare Awards, 9 Filmfare Awards South, and four Guild Awards among many others.
